PBS Artisode: Bryce Hammond

About:

A PBS / WUCF Orlando Artisode I produced, directed and edited featuring one of my favorite Florida-based, mixed media artists Bryce Hammond. “WUCF Artisodes explore local artists and art initiatives across Central Florida”.

I was fortunate to get an interview with NY/FL experimental artist Bryce Hammond. This was shot on location at his New Smyrna studio with guidance from WUCF producer Tricia Connelly. You can find the full episode here.

Production Notes:

This was my first crack at working in a broadcast setting. The WUCF team and producers I got to work with were a helpful and kind lot, that imparted a format that I always had wished to learn. Being raised on PBS programs as a youth made this experience even more special.

Bryce also happened to be an earlier graduate from the UCF MFA Arts program I was attending. As an admirer of his work and approach to capturing spaces and people authentically – getting to connect with him on this was an absolute delight. Keep up with his work here.
